EVS4ALL – Learning Experience at CONNECTOR2.015 in Cluj, Romania!10 July 2015
We spent last week in one of the most exciting places in Europe for youth: Cluj-Napoca, Romania – appropriately enough, it is also the 2015 European Youth Capital! We were at CONNECTOR2.015, the second edition of the non-formal and participative learning event.
Together with approximately 30 participants – among them volunteers, mentors, and staff members of our partner organisations – we held an EVS4ALL workshop during the first day as part of the “incubator+ (unConference)” part of the event. We outlined the context and current situation of EVS4ALL, and discussed what barriers people perceive to EVS activities – as well as how these barriers can be overcome. To close the first part of our program in Cluj, we presented our online petition for an inclusive EVS and encouraged participants to sign it and join us!
But that wasn’t all. We also offered the two-day “EVS4ALL Digital Technology” workshop, this time with an even smaller group of participants who really got to know and use some exciting digital learning tools. The aim here was to test different digital tools and to see which tool could best support the volunteers at each stage of an EVS activity. Results of this workshop and some impressions of the CONNECTOR2.015 event can be seen in this video, which the participants themselves created! It also gives you an idea of the energy and excitement of the CONNECTOR program! For more views on our time in Cluj, check out the photos below!
